Blackie Mini Storage

A responsive website

Blackie Mini Storage is a small company in rural Alberta, providing shipping containers for storage use. I was contacted by them and asked to make a simple, clean website that would display nicely on any screen size. It's not a content-heavy site by any means; it's simply to give Blackie Mini Storage a web presence, and allow people to find or contact them more easily.

But honestly, I'm really proud of that "Directions" button and how I got it to display differently at different screen sizes and on different devices. It's just a tiny detail, but I love it.

Finally, after a year of experimenting, I can say that I have finished a website using Jade & Sass. This is also the first fully responsive website I've built from scratch. It's always exciting to transition from the "learning" to the "applying" stage. (Wish we would have learned this stuff in school though).

The responsive framework uses the Bourbon & Neat Sass libraries, while the interactive map uses the Google Maps API. Fonts and icons use Google Fonts and Font Awesome respectively.
